FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a concept tattoo?
A concept tattoo is a custom tattoo designed around an idea, story or mood. It can bring together different subjects, symbols, lettering and graphic details. It may hold personal meaning, but simply wanting to combine certain images and shapes is also a great starting point.
Which styles can be combined in a concept tattoo?
We find it particularly exciting when realistic or microrealistic subjects meet fine line details and geometric shapes. Botanical elements, ornamental details and lettering can also be included. During the design process, we’ll help you choose the combinations that best express your idea.
What if I have a story in mind but don’t know how to express it visually?
A consultation is a great place to start. Tell us what’s on your mind, which memories or ideas you’d like to express, and show us the kinds of imagery you’re drawn to. Together, we’ll explore subjects and design ideas that bring your story to life. You don’t need to have the whole tattoo planned out beforehand.
Can several different ideas be brought together in one concept tattoo?
Yes, several ideas can come together in one cohesive design. Together, we’ll decide on the main subject and the details that complement it. We adapt the layout, size and proportions to your chosen body placement so that all the elements work well together.
How much does a concept tattoo cost at Vision of You in Vienna?
The price depends on the size and detail of the design, the techniques involved and your chosen artist. A smaller piece and a project completed over several sessions require different amounts of work. During your free consultation, we’ll discuss your idea, the options for bringing it to life and the expected cost.
